Our new Chief Executive will not only be a central figure and ambassador for the city, but will be expertly focused on getting the basics right, leading the transformation of the Council to become an organisation focused on meeting the needs of our communities, creating a city of hope and aspiration that is inclusive, sustainable and healthy, and where everyone can share in the opportunities available.
Your authentic approach will enable the council and Members to work collaboratively across political boundaries, recognising that we all want the best for Bristol, and maximising our collective resolve to make a difference and realise the ambitions of our residents.

Finance Director
As our Finance Director you will work closely with the Chief Executive as part of the Corporate Leadership Team, supporting the transformation of the Council towards long-term sustainability in a culture of managerial and leadership accountability. We are focused on meeting the needs of our diverse and vibrant communities to create a city that is inclusive, healthy and sustainable.
You will be creative and collaborative, helping to build confidence across the organisation to take ownership of financial management, whilst providing professional support and guidance at all levels. You will bring a transformative approach to ensure we continue to deliver great services within the financial envelope available to us.
